About the Creator
Malek Al-Marayati has over a decade of experience working on projects involving aquatic resource permitting throughout California. His background includes wetland and stream delineation, preparation of permit applications under Clean Water Act Sections 404 and 401 and California Fish and Game Code Section 1602, and regulatory coordination with federal and state agencies responsible for aquatic resource management. His experience also includes environmental review and compliance under CEQA and other state and federal regulatory programs affecting infrastructure and development projects. Much of his work has focused on California’s arid and semi-arid landscapes, where identifying and evaluating jurisdictional streams and other aquatic resources often requires careful interpretation of hydrology, geomorphology, and regulatory guidance.
