Nebraska Concealed Handgun Permit

This course is approved by the Nebraska State Patrol as meeting the curriculum and training requirements to obtain a Nebraska Concealed Handgun Permit.  Students will receive a certificate of completion upon successfully completing the course.  This certificate is required prior to submitting your application for a permit to the Nebraska State Patrol.

 

The Nebraska Concealed Handgun Permit Course costs $125 and will take 7-8 hours to complete.

 

Below is a list of items to bring.  If you have questions please contact us prior to the class.

-A pen and a notepad for taking notes.
-Your Nebraska Driver’s License or Nebraska ID Card.
-Handgun you are comfortable shooting and 2 magazines (if semi-auto).  Handgun must be a modern firearm (no single action revolvers, etc).
-Holster for the weapon you are planning to use.  Holsters must completely cover the trigger and be worn securely outside the pants on the strong side (no cross draw, small-of-the-back, appendix, fanny pack, purse, shoulder holster or ankle holsters for this class).
-100 rounds of ammunition. Factory ammunition only – (no hand loads or reloads, NO STEEL CASING AMMO).
-Long pants (no shorts) and belt. Closed toed shoes.  Brimmed hat or cap for range activities.  Clothing appropriate for the weather (we shoot rain or shine).
-Personal eye and ear protection.
-Concealment garment (untucked shirt, jacket, etc.  must completely cover the weapon when holstered).  The qualification course requires drawing from a concealed holstered position.
-No ammunition in classroom.  No loaded firearms in the classroom.  Weapons must remain holstered in the classroom.


The written test consists of 30 questions (minimum passing score is 70%)
There is also a shooting qualification course with a minimum passing score of 70%.
The Qualification Course of Fire (Total 30 rounds) – FBI “Q” Target (22" x 34"). 
Shots are not timed.

 

-3 feet - Six (6) rounds
** Two rounds per command to fire.
One repetition must be from a concealed draw.

 

-9 feet - Twelve (12) rounds
** Two rounds per command to fire.
Three repetitions must be from a concealed draw.

 

-15 feet - Six (6) rounds
** Two rounds per command to fire.
One repetition must be from a concealed draw.

 

-21 feet - Six (6) rounds
** Two rounds per command to fire.
One repetition must be from a concealed draw.
